This is the 3rd edition, reprinted from the 2nd edition which was revised by Lady Wentworth. It was her 2nd reference work on the Arabian horse much of which was based on her mother, Lady Anne blunts work from her 'Book of Fragments' which was never published in her lifetime.

Description of this book from the flysheet:

The Authentic Arabian Horse is unique among the classics of the horse. An indispensable source of information for all breeders of horses, it is also intensely fascinating to everyone interested in thoroughbreds. Lady Wentworth was acknowledged as the world's greatest authority on the Arabian horse and drew together an enormous mass of knowledge of its breeding, antecedents and its effect upon other breeds which was supplemented by her own lifelong experience of the Arab breed. Incorporated in this book is also the life-work of Lady Anne Blunt, who left at her death a quantity of manuscript on the subject of Arabia and its horses and tribes.

For this third edition, purely factual information which had gone out of date has been most carefully revised to take account of modern developments, but without damaging in any way the uniquely idiosyncratic character of Lady Wentworth's original work.

This book is in excellent condition. The Dust Jacket has a small tear and is slighlty faded at the spine but otherwise very good. Includes hundreds of photographs and plates of Crabbet and other horses. An essential addition to any Arabian Library.
