"Bred by Mohammed Pasha, a Turkoman Chief
Dam: A Kehilet Ajuz of the Dajani strain (or Kehileh Dajanieh) of the Sebaa Anazeh and stolen from them by Mohammed Pasha.
Sire: A Kehilan Nowak
Purchased at Aleppo in 1877 for £35 (£3640)
Dajania was stolen from Mohammed Pasha and brought to Sheykh Seyd Ahmed of the Hannadi Tribe and settled at Haggla near Aleppo.
Description:
A golden bay with enormous eyes, very black points, three white feet (two hind and off-fore) a star and snip. Good head, rather short neck fine ears, short back wonderfully strong, a fair shoulder, perfect legs, fine action and carriage of tail.

Dajania was Imported in 1878. She produced only one pure-bred filly, Nefisa.
Sold after the Third Sale in 1886 to H. E. Rustem Pasha, the Turkish Ambassador, for 120gns." (£14,600)
Nefisa, born in 1885 sired by Hadban was the only filly that Dajania produced at Crabbet, but was to have 21 foals in all and was described by Lady Anne as a 'perfect brood mare'. Nefisa was the first of the renowed 'N' line.
