The 2017 conference of the World Arabian Horse Organisation (WAHO) is being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the incredibly generous patronage of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. The delegates are all having a wonderful time and have been treated to visits of local historical sites, displays of champion Arabian horses and visits to the Royal studs.

 

Bahrain is home to over 2000 purebred Arabains and those at the Royal studs have been kept pure to their strains within the Royal family for over 200 years. Thus, these horses that we have been extremely privileged to see are just as those that Lady Anne and Wilfrid Blunt would have have seen in the desert and brought back to England over 135 years ago! We have included just some of our pictures below, more will be published once we return to the UK as the treats are still coming!
